We are so excited to invite you to Flourish, a 12-Week Mindfulness Certification for Mental Health Professionals.

This program helps you build and strengthen a mindfulness practice to support yourself and your patients through LIVE, in-person weekly coaching, instructional videos, guided audio meditations, and custom journal prompts. The final three weeks are devoted to supporting you in creating and leading meditations you can confidently bring with you into your therapy rooms to support your patients. 

This program is perfect for clinical therapists, social workers, LMFTs, psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, coaches, and other mental health professionals looking to deepen their meditation practice in community with others.

By the end of Flourish, you will feel:

Are you ready to find your way back to yourself?

Over 12 weeks, we’ll move at a pace that allows you to sink deeply into the material and apply it to your life. You will have step-by-step guidance and support from Yael and your team of co-travelers and friends. 

Flourish is not about passively receiving information. It is a transformative coaching experience that applies ancient wisdom to your life, as it is happening - paced to allow all the teachings to sink in deeply.

  • • 9 brief instructional videos (10-20 minutes) to move you through the curriculum

    • 9 weekly guided audio meditations created to support your real-life practice as you go through the curriculum

    • Weekly journaling prompts and exercises to deepen learning on the week’s topic

    • 2 mini virtual retreats: kick-off and closing (built into double sessions on first and last meetings for virtual cohort, 2:00-5:30pm ET)

    • 12 weekly LIVE coaching sessions with Yael Shy and your fellow practitioners to apply the learnings directly to your life (LIVE coaching calls for virtual cohort).

    • A supportive WhatsApp group for participants to share wisdom, questions, struggles and cheerleading, even after the program ends.

    • A practice partner to support your learning experience and commitment to the program

    • A Certificate in Mindfulness Practices from Mindfulness Consulting, LLC to support using the practices in your professional life or as a precursor for a full teacher training program

    12 CEU credits available upon successful completion of the program

  • Week 1-4: Drop In

    Step out of the stream of overthinking, over analyzing, re-living the past or anxiously concocting an imaginary future and drop into the still waters of the present moment.

    Practices include: Focus-building meditation, Sense-based meditation, and Emotional regulation

    Week 5-7: Move Closer

    Get curious about the stories you tell yourself. Befriend all parts of yourself and learn how your inner critics might be your greatest gifts.

    Practices include: Narrative journaling, Introduction to working with polarized parts of ourselves, and Radical acceptance and radical welcoming.

    Week 8-12: Open Up

    Claim your wholeness and experience the fullness of life that is waiting for you, right now.

    Practices include: Open awareness meditation, Lovingkindness meditation, Writing and delivering a meditation clinic

About your facilitator

Yael Shy is the Founder and  CEO of Mindfulness Consulting, LLC, where she teaches and consults on mindfulness for universities, corporations, and private clients around the world. She is the author of the award-winning book, What Now? Meditation for Your Twenties and Beyond (Parallax, 2017), and the founder of Mindful NYU, the largest campus-based mindfulness initiative in the US.

Yael is a graduate of the IJS Jewish Mindfulness Teacher Training Certification and has over a decade of teaching and consulting experience and 20+ years of meditation practice experience.     Are brand new to meditation (i.e. no familiarity whatsoever)

    Are seeking a teacher training program (although this is a great precursor to one!)

    Are in an acute crisis without additional psychological support (i.e. therapist)

  • First - you will get a certificate in Mindful Practices from Mindfulness Consulting, LLC at the conclusion of the 12-weeks, which might inspire your work to support or subsidize the cost of the program.

    Meditation coaching isn’t just an intellectual experience. It is about applying evidence-based wisdom to the fight you had with your husband, or the difficult conversation you have to have with your boss. It is about transforming how you talk to yourself when you fail, and how you find faith when everything feels difficult. Yael will give you the tools, yes, but she will also support you as you try them out for yourself and answer questions along the way.
